Kid's Intro to Sewing



Learn the timeless art of crochet. In this class we will cover tension, technique, tools, and yarn, as we make a scarf or washcloth. We will begin the project in class and learn all the skills needed so you can finish at home.



Learn to knit! Techniques covered in this class will be casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, and alternating stitches to create ribbing.  You will learn to read a pattern as we make the Wheat Scarf designed by Tin Can Knits.  We will also talk about tension, unknitting, and binding off, and we will explore both English and Continental styles of knitting.



Give that special kid the gift of sewing! Let your child age 8 and up have a fun day learning to sew. We will cover threading the machine, tools of the trade, and the basics of machine sewing. He or she will leave with their very own pillow for their room!

Bring a machine if you have one, or let us know to reserve one for you!



If you are a true beginner to machine sewing or want a refresher on your basics, this class is for you! We will make this little tote bag as we talk about the basics of fabric, tools, and notions and learn to thread and use your machine.

No machine, no problem. Just let us know ahead of time to have one ready for you. Note that this class is for adults 13 and up.




Learn to use your serger!  In this class we will explore the functions of the serger as we make this little drawstring bag.  We will go over threading the serger, choosing and making the perfect stitch, and care and maintenance of the machine.  This is the perfect class for someone who has never used their machine or just wants a refresher on the basics.  Plus you'll walk away with a cute bag!


Experienced Beginner


In this class we will learn to crochet from a pattern while making some little flower motifs.  Crochet patterns can be written in abbreviations, or as a diagram of symbols.  We will cover all the information needed to interpret both formats.  Your crocheted flowers can be used as an ornament or to embellish another piece.  After this class you will be ready to take on any crochet project that uses a pattern.




Deck the halls with some handmade goodness! Make yourself or your loved ones a Christmas Stocking and spread the holiday cheer. This is a beginner-friendly class, and you will learn the basics of straight line quilting!


Experienced Beginner


Learn to make a comfy Linden sweatshirt!  This is an easy garment with its basic construction and raglan sleeves.  You will learn skills such as applying a neck band and cuffs, and techniques for working with stretch knits, and working from a pattern.




Come learn to make a felted gnome! Needle felting is a fiber art in which sculptures can be made from wool. This is very beginner friendly project and a great way to make some hand crafted gifts or decor for your home.

Make a Santa gnome like this one, a forest gnome, or a wizard gnome! The possibilities for creativity are endless! Let Laura show you the basics and let your imagination run wild!

All supplies are included in this fun day of crafting.






‘Tis the season for decorating your home with cozy handmade merriment.   These little pine cones will give a beautiful touch to your Christmas tree this year, and what a lovely gift they would make, too!  The best part is that they are EASY and require no sewing!  You will be amazed at the magic you can make!  This will be a festive evening of getting in the holiday spirit and making ornaments that you’ll have for years to come.  You’ll want to make them for everyone!

All supplies are included, but if you have a fabric you want to use, you’ll need a little less than 1/4 yard.


Chalk Couture makes screen printing easy and fun!  Erma and Glenda will be back Friday, December 6, to lead this Christmas Decor Make & Take!  Choose to make Christmas Trees, Ornaments, Gift Tags, or all three! You choose the designs and colors, and print and layer your way to incredible personalized pieces!  There are two time slots, 6:00 or 7:30pm, so make sure to sign up for the one that works for you.


These festive little ornaments are easy and so fun. Great for gift-giving, or for decking your own halls! All supplies are included in this beginner-friendly class! Even if you've never sewn a stitch, you can make this ornament. If you don't have a machine, use one of ours!



Do you have a Cricut, but don’t know where to start?

Interested in getting a Cricut to make some neat

projects? Come to the Cricut 101 class. It’s truly a beginner’s class. No need to bring your machine, as it will be a lot of demonstration.  We will use my machine and computer in the class. We will complete a project using either permanent adhesive vinyl or heat-transfer vinyl. You can design a coffee mug or design a zip bag, which will be provided for you to choose from.

In this class, we will cover the Cricut Machine, the basics of Design Space(the computer program used for a Cricut), basic tools used with a Cricut, and different types of vinyl.
